Several Atamis objects display a Discussions Tab which offers a convenient medium for communicating with internal colleagues using social media principles (referred to as "Chatter" in Salesforce documentation).
Discussion posts are not visible to Suppliers by default.
Viewing Your Feed
To view a feed of all posts where you have been tagged or for items you're following:
- Click on your User icon at the top right of the page
- Click on your Username to display your User Page. Your full Chatter Feed is typically displayed at the bottom of your user page.
Posting Messages and Files to Colleagues
Posts made on an object record (e.g. a Project), will be visible to any internal user that can view the record. Only users that you tag by using @username and those following the record will receive an email notification of your post.
- To draft a post, write your message in the box and format as desired. To tag a colleague using the @ symbol followed by their username.
- Keep the To field as the default selection to ensure communications remain internal
- Using the paperclip icon, you can attach files if desired.
Click Share and your post will be visible in the feed for others to like or comment. You can edit or delete prior posts you made using the drop down activity arrow on the post.
Following Records, Files and Other Users
As with social media platforms, you can Follow items to receive notifications of Posts and changes to data and files in the system. Click Follow or Unfollow where you see this button on the page.
You can see a full list of everything you're following by going to your User page.
To follow a file and receive notifications when a new version is uploaded for example, preview the file and from the dropdown menu click View File Details. From this page you will be able to click the Follow button.
